Artist: Russell Robinson

Teacher, recycle artist, beader, painter, visual and performing artist and photographer, Russell Robinson breathes life into anything he crafts. As part folk artist to community beacon the New Orleans flavor is infused with many of his art work. Black Pearl MarketPlace features his recycling art that utilizes unwanted cardboard to bottle caps to even discarded matches to create a guitar that's featured below.  As a beader in New Orleans, more men are associated with beading than women. Especially. for Mardi Gras season,  Russell creates intricate patches that can be added to elaborate Indian costumes.
